Shopify Summit 2020

Brand Identity, Art Direction, Experiential Marketing

Every year, Shopify hosts an internal conference for all employees called Summit. This is a chance for leadership to share company goals and mission, product announcements, and a place for employees to meet. In early 2020, Shopify hosted its Summit in Toronto, Ottawa, and Berlin, and the team also created a live “News Desk” for those who wanted to tune in remotely. The look and feel of the Shopify Summit event changes yearly. This gives the team an opportunity to be experimental with our branding, and is reflective of the internal values — ambition and grit.

As a senior designer on this project, much of my focus was dedicated to art direction, and environment and stage design. Other design tasks also included name badges, physical activations, murals, and assisting with presentation design.
